36th Annual TACA Spring Crafts Fair

The Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA) sponsors this kick-off event for the summer outdoor season in Centennial Park in front of Nashville’s historic replica of the Parthenon in downtown Nashville. The 35th annual TACA Spring Crafts Fair features the exceptional quality work of approximately 180 juried Tennessee craftspeople.

Spring Craft Fair at Pellissippi State

Knoxville, Tennessee
The Foothills Craft Guild and the Smoky Mountain Quilters of Tennessee are proudly producing a joint craft fair/quilt show at the Pellissippi State Technical Community College campus in west Knoxville. (The college is closed for semester break.) Approximately 50 Foothills Craft Guild members will exhibit in the outdoor courtyard area, while the 27th Annual Quilt Show and Competition will be held inside the Goins Administration Building. FREE admission and parking.

Sweetwater Arts Celebration

Sweetwater, Tennessee
The Sweetwater Citizens for the Arts is holding the Sweetwater Arts Celebration, a show and sale of juried fine arts and crafts by approximately 50 regional artists. Advance sale of art begins Friday at 5:30 p.m. with a champagne reception at 6:30 with heavy hors d'oeuvres. At 7:30 p.m. donated art will be auctioned off with all proceeds going to school programs of the Sweetwater Valley Citizens for the Arts. Tickets for Friday evening's events are $50. The fine arts and crafts show on Saturday is open to the public with free admission.

Tennessee Creates

Oak Ridge, Tennessee
The Secret City Festival, now in its 5th year, combines music, food, antique and unjuried crafts vendors (all outside in tents), plus World War II re-enactments, children's activities, and evening concerts. By popular demand, this year the Festival has added a juried inside show sponsored by the Oak Ridge Art Center, the inaugural "Tennessee Creates." The show will be held in the Oak Ridge Civic Center Gymnasium.

Mountain Makins

Mountain Makins is a weekend folk life festival celebrating the traditions of Appalachia through music, dance, fine art, juried crafts, storytelling, demonstrations, regional authors, children's activities, food and more. This event is one of Hamblen County's largest and is housed in and around Rose Center, an 1892 school building, now serving as an historical museum and cultural arts center. All proceeds support Rose Center and its many arts, historic and educational programs.
