Seeming to have a life of its own, my music stand looks like it could start dancing at any moment. I designed the music tray as two overlapping leaves with as much life and gracefulness as the legs. The entire piece is hand-carved and hand–shaped from 2-inch-thick Honduran mahogany.

Currently on display at the Wexler Gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Winner of the Best of Show and Members' Choice Awards at the 2002 Music Stands Design Competition at the Wharton Esherick Museum

NICHE Student Awards Winner 2003.

Dimensions: 51" H x 34" W x 20" D
Materials: Honduran Mahogany

Nature Sets the Tone was featured in an article in the February 2003 edition of Taunton's Fine Woodworking.
